Follow your child’s lead in this fun and memorable project! Gather pictures, small items, ribbons, notes, and other memorabilia from the holiday and stick them onto a notebook or some pieces of paper. Allow your child to explore how they would want to design and decorate the keepsake booklet.
Creating this holiday keepsake booklet together will allow you to observe and grasp what your child wants to talk about and would like to further explore. Encourage the child to talk and communicate by sharing and commenting about the booklet you are creating. Acknowledge the child’s attempts to communicate by responding to them and paying attention to the things they are doing and saying. This activity is a good way for parents to set the stage for learning, self-expression, and development of interpersonal skills.
